We advise travelers to Canada to check the COVID-19: Entering Canada requirements checklist to determine which regulations apply to entry into Canada.

Effective July 6, 2021, the first phase of planned relief for entry of fully vaccinated travelers will take effect. The regulations provide for the elimination of the federal quarantine requirement, including the three-day hotel quarantine that was previously mandatory.

1. registration via ArriveCAN

Prior to entry, all entrants must register via the  ArriveCAN app ( iOS / link for android or online).

2. COVID-19 test

Travelers must take a PCR test within 72 hours prior to the scheduled departure time of your flight to Canada. This includes passengers who have been fully vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19 disease. Passengers who have not reached the age of five are exempt. All airlines must deny boarding to travelers who cannot present a valid PCR test result.

3. vaccination

Travelers must present proof of vaccination from an approved vaccine in hard copy or digital format in English or French or official translation. Vaccinations outside of Canada will be recognized as long as the proof of vaccination is /dk/uploaded into ArriveCAN in French or English, or with a certified translation into French or English.

4. quarantine

Quarantine is not required for fully vaccinated entrants. However, all travelers must make appropriate pre-entry quarantine plans as a precautionary measure.

The Government of Canada advises travelers to obtain supplemental information about any differing regulations in their respective provinces.

In addition, you are required to present one of the following documents:

• All fully vaccinated passengers travelling to China must provide 2 PCR tests from 2 different test stations (not older than 48 hours).
• Unvaccinated passengers must provide 1 PCR and 1 IgM antibody test (not older than 48 hours).

Furthermore, due to the highly regionalised entry regulations in China, we kindly ask you to inform yourself about the entry regulations valid at that time on the website of the German Foreign Office and the Chinese Embassy before starting your trip.

• All travellers wanting to enter or leave the country are required to complete an electronic form ('e-ticket'). This has now replaced all previous forms for entry, customs and health-related purposes. Further information will be provided by the Dominican migration authority.
• The presentation of a vaccination certificate or a negative coronatest is currently not a requirement for entry from Germany.
• Temperature checks are carried out upon entry, and breath tests are also conducted at random. Travellers are required to take these tests.

You are also required to submit the following documents upon arrival:

1. Please register before departure via https://visitegypt.gov.eg/. After registering and /dk/uploading one of the health certificates (vaccination certificate, recovery certificate or test), you will receive a QR code.
Alternatively, please download and complete the Public Health Passenger Locator Form (PLF), and take it with you to the airport in addition to your proof of health.

2. All passengers 12 years of age and older traveling to Egypt must provide one of the following proofs:

• A negative PCR test result that is no older than 72 hours (or 96 hours if departing from Frankfurt) prior to departure, or
• A negative antigen test that is not older than 24 hours before departure. The certificate must be in paper form or in digital form with a stamp or a QR code and must contain the time and date of sample collection. It must be issued by an accredited laboratory and indicate the type of test (RT-PCR), preferably in English or Arabic.
• A Covid-19 vaccination certificate stating that the passenger has been fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to departure. The certificate must be in Arabic, French or English, issued by an accredited laboratory and linked to a QR code, and must not contain any deletions, cancellations or additions. If the vaccination certificate was issued in the country the passenger is coming from without a QR code, the certificate will be accepted if approved by the Egyptian Embassy in that country. Approved vaccines are BioNTech/Pfizer (Comirnaty), Moderna, AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Sinopharm, Sinovac, Sputnik, Johnson&Johnson.
• An electronic Covid-19 vaccination certificate issued in Egypt by the Egyptian Ministry of Health showing that the passenger was fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to departure. Accepted vaccines are: AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Janssen, Moderna, Pfizer Biontech, Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V.

As of 20 April a proof of health is not applicable anymore. The online registration is recommended, but not mandatory.

• Booking confirmation from a resort for the entire duration of your stay must be presented.
• Submission of an electronic entry declaration. This must be completed on the Maldivian border authorities' website within 48 hours before departure.
• The Maldivian government recommends that travelers use the local tracing app TraceEkee.
• Temperature checks are carried out upon arrival. Travellers with Covid-19 symptoms must take a PCR test at the airport, which is subject to a fee. Random tests may also be conducted free of charge.
• Please additionally inform yourself about the current entry regulations on the website of the Maldivian government.

Mexican health authorities do not currently require certification of health status or test results. Quarantine measures are not provided. However, fever is increasingly being measured and travelers may be required to undergo an examination if they show symptoms.

• Fully vaccinated travellers from the EU, the UK and other countries will be allowed to re-enter the US as of 8 November 2021. Persons under 18 years of age are exempt from the vaccination requirement.
• All passengers travelling to the USA are required to print, complete, sign and carry the attestation form (PDF - 5 pages) in duplicate. -> direct Download Attestation
• All travellers (including vaccinated persons) to the USA are required to have a negative corona test (PCR test, rapid antigen test, TMA test or LAMP test), which must not be older than one day before departure. Infants under two years of age are exempt from this requirement.
• As of November 8, the new system tightens these requirements so that unvaccinated persons must confirm a negative test within 3-5 days of entry. And go into self-isolation to the extent that the test is positive or the person develops corona symptoms.
• Persons who have been infected with COVID-19 within the past 90 days prior to departure are exempt from the testing requirement. They must provide the airline their positive COVID-19 test, which must not be older than 90 days, and a medical certificate.
• Masks are compulsory during the flight and at the airports. Refusal to wear a mask is a violation of federal law and may result in denied boarding, disembarkation from the aircraft and/or the imposition of penalties under federal law. Children under the age of two are exempt from the mask requirement.
• Please refer to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) quarantine recommendations, other entry requirements, and state and local quarantine regulations.

Entry to Hawaii

A Save Travel Account must be opened for entry into Hawaii. There is a 10-day segregation requirement for travelers who are not entering directly from abroad. This is waived upon presentation of a negative test from a trusted testing and travel partner dating back no more than 72 hours prior to the last flight segment or a vaccination with a vaccine recognized in the U.S. (currently: Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and Johnson&Johnson / Janssen).

Those who do not have a negative test result or approved vaccination prior to departure must enter a 10-day quarantine upon arrival.

The negative test result must be /dk/uploaded to Safe Travels or printed prior to departure and a hard copy must be available upon arrival in Hawaii. The State of Hawaii will also accept test results that have been digitally validated by Digital Health Pass Partners.
