We fly a sign against breast cancer
Condor is flying a clear signal against breast cancer and supports the worldwide breast cancer initiative FlyPink. With that, we show our solidarity with those affected and their families, raise awareness of prevention and provide information about breast cancer.
We fly pink: Together against breast cancer and for prevention
Flying our guests to the most beautiful places in the world is not our only passion. We have been just as passionate about FlyPink for years. This aviation industry initiative supports organizations worldwide that are committed to researching, preventing and treating breast cancer.
Our airplanes already carry yellow, red, blue, green and beige stripes. They stand for the freedom to experience the world, for the gentle sea breeze in your hair and the sun‘s rays on your skin.
From now on, one of our fleet members will be wearing another color, pink stripes. They stand for our solidarity, for great courage and for the tireless hope of thousands of those affected and their supporters. Our crews also wear pink accessories on request.
Our FlyPink Plane, every pink scarf and every pink tie carry our message to the world: We fly together against breast cancer.

In Germany, nearly one in eight women is diagnosed with breast cancer. 1% of men are also affected. Early detection and prevention are essential.
The earlier breast cancer is detected, the less invasive the necessary interventions may be and the greater the chances of recovery. For more information on prevention and early detection, please visit the website of Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V..
For more information, including a self-examination guide, we encourage you to explore our FlyPink Safety Card (PDF, 300 kb).
Further insights, an informative interview on the subject of breast cancer and voices from Condor crews about FlyPink can also be found on our blog (German only).

Purser Heike Prestinari
"Thanks to the breast cancer screening, which women aged 50 and over can take part in free of charge every two years, I was diagnosed with early-stage cancer. I therefore advise all women to take part in this examination; I think it saved my life."
Flight attendant Jule Bohnert
“I am taking part in the initiative to create visibility for this disease. I want to encourage women to take time for their health - so that one day this disease doesn't take our time. Prevention pays off.”
Purser Ralph Skarbeck
“I am taking part in the FlyPink initiative because I am proud that Condor is addressing the issue, that we are raising awareness of breast cancer worldwide and because I have personally experienced it in my family."
First Officer Stefan Kalt
„Of course I’m taking part in the FlyPink initiative again this year. This topic is very close to my heart because my mother was unfortunately affected by breast cancer a few years ago. Fortunately, with early prevention, she was able to be completely cured.”
Flight attendant Konstantina P. Tsolakidou
“I am very proud to be taking part in Condor's FlyPink initiative, to raise awareness of breast cancer and to support research into better treatment options. Prevention and early detection are of utmost importance because this is the only way we can fight cancer.”
Flight attendant Nick Grimm
“I support FlyPink because the campaign creates greater awareness of one's own health. I hope that more people will go for preventative care and that the number of sick people will decrease."
