Welcome to Zakynthos
With its beautiful beaches, blue sea, unspoilt nature and outstanding cuisine, Zakynthos is a true paradise for anyone looking for indulgence in every sense of the word. In the winter months, more rains falls on Zakynthos than on other Greek islands, thus giving it luscious vegetation when the summer comes around.
If you like discovering locations on foot, you should be sure to explore the rocky west coast of the island, which offers a wonderful view of the mountains, cliffs, forests and ocean. Both Zakynthos and the neighbouring island of Marathonissi play a practically important role as the main nesting site of the rare loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta) in the Mediterranean Sea. So what are you waiting for? Book your cheap flight to Zakynthos with Condor for a truly wonderful holiday experience!
Flight facts
Fly to Zakynthos with Condor on an approximately four-hour long flight and discover the impressive diversity of this beautiful Ionian island for yourself. The history of the island of Zakynthos is particularly unique given that while the Greek mainland formed part of the Ottoman Empire over many years, Zakynthos, like Corfu, was ruled by western and central European states for more than seven centuries.
The island was most strongly influenced by the Venetian Republic, the characteristic architecture of which can still be found in numerous locations in the present day. The Venetians liked to refer to the island, which is known as “Zante” in Italian, as the “Fior di Levente” (Flower of the East). After Corfu, Zakynthos is the second most important tourist destination in the Ionian Islands.
